Those who believe

We as Christians, believe in the power of prayer. We take our worries, confessions, trials and tribulations to God. We seek, we ask, we praise and we humble ourselves before the Lord Almighty. The results are powerful, prayers answered (or not answered) build faith and bring us closer to God.

We seek prayers when we are in a tough spot. Especially when we need healing emotionally, spiritually or physically. My church has a strong prayer warrior group. These women can move mountains through the faith they have in Jesus.

Here is something I realized this morning. We have an eternal friend who prayed for us before we were born, before we were Christians and before we had volumes written on how to pray.

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

John 17:20-23

Savor the words of John 17:20, where Jesus said, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word”. He prayed for you!! Let that sink in. The Alpha and the Omega, the King of kings, prayed for you. He interceded for you. He prayed for you before you knew that you needed a prayer.

We have an amazing God. He planned ahead, He secured a place for us in the mansion of our Father Almighty. His prayers are going to keep us out of harm’s way. We have a solid albeit narrow path Home and it is illuminated with His light. This is a true blessing, this is love. Your destiny is secure in Him.

Dear Lord,

My little brain and tiny heart cannot begin to understand the wonders of Your love. The beauty, magnanimity and thoughtfulness are overwhelming. I am overcome and so happy about this revelation that Jesus prayed for me. You lead my way through and out of the evils of this world. Your love for us while undeserved is our only hope and path Home. All Glory be Yours. I pray in your sweet name, Jesus. Amen.
