Ever notice how time does not overpower you when you are getting stuff accomplished? You have a task list, you are checking it off, you are on top of the accomplishment game, time is your friend. At other times it feels like you are being overtaken by time, running helter-skelter to catch up but it eludes you and defeats you and becomes your enemy.

Time management has been an area of improvement for me, and I imagine that I will someday grapple it into control by the grace of God. You may be wondering where Jesus is in all of this. This is easy, if the task list is blessed by God, it is going to be a slam dunk. Align your will, surrender and execute. Point and shoot friends, it is that easy.
However, the “time” I am going to talk about today is “opportunity”. I was stumped by verse 6 in John’s chapter 7 and thought it worthwhile to look it up.
‘ Then Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready. ‘
-John 7:6
This “time” is not what I assumed it was. William Barclay explains it in his John’s gospel commentary. The root word is ‘Kairos’ and according to google, it literally means “opportunity”.
In my simple mind, I read this as “the moment is always right for a follower of Jesus”. Pray and seize the moment, Christian! If your actions are in alignment with His will and His commandments, jump in with both feet. Do not hesitate. God is always with you and for you.
‘The Lord is on my side;
-Psalm 118:6
I will not fear.’
‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”’
-Joshua 1:9
‘What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?’
-Romans 8:31
God Bless you! May you accomplish with great success whatever God has laid on your heart. Remember, your time is always ready.
Dear God,
Thank You for being the way and guiding us to be of good courage. Please guide me and lead me to wherever you need me to be. May my journey bring you glory. Amen.
