Who is shaping you, the world or the Almighty? Are you letting the world take away the joy of following Jesus? This is a reminder that God is your potter (Jer 18)

When God made us, He made us in his perfect image. We let the world fill us with dross and we think and act lesser than he made us.
But God gave us (his followers) a new heart, gave us faith and filled us with the renewed spirit ( Eze 36:26 and Ps 51:10) when we professed our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. When we confessed that we are sinners, He saved us, we were born again in his likeness.
At this point we get a chance to let the Bible and His word shape us. We should submit to the transformation. He takes us and makes us into perfect little images of the perfect, pure, sinless one. We should submit to this transformation.
He and only He knows how far we have come and what He has in store for us, I trust that it is good. Our job is to wear the armor of God (Eph 6:10-17) and refrain from giving this earthly world any power to shape us. Seek purity and goodness, cling onto that one thread of Jesus’ hem and stay your mind on him (Isa 26:3) now and always.
Dear Sweet Jesus,
Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psa 51:10) , keep me from wandering away from you and getting into unclean habits. grant me the goodness to submit to you and align my will with yours. May my thoughts, actions, deeds, and words bring you glory today and everyday. Amen!
